Nicole Maria Pinto

Nicole is a skilled chronic disease rehabilitation specialist and serves as an honorary advisor and consultant at Pratibha Prabhakar Pulmonary Rehabilitation Centre (PPRC), India. With over a decade of clinical experience, she brings strategic leadership to pulmonary rehabilitation education through curriculum development, faculty mentorship, protocol evaluation, and a strong focus on best clinical practices, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional growth. She worked at BeweMed, Institut für Präventions und Bewegungsmedizin GmbH in Germany, a dedicated outpatient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation centre. She has been a member of the development group for the package of rehabilitation interventions for COPD and the technical working group for the basic package of rehabilitation interventions for primary care settings under the WHO Rehabilitation 2030 Initiative. She also has a certification in Improving Global Health: Focusing on Quality and Safety from Harvard University.
Veena Kiran Nambiar

Dr. Veena Kiran Nambiar is a professor at Ramaiah College of Physiotherapy, Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences; senior consultant; and chief of the cardiac rehabilitation program at the Centre for Rehabilitation, Ramaiah Memorial Hospital, Bangalore, Karnataka, with more than twenty-five years of clinical and academic work experience. Her area of specialization is in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy, and she nurtures special interests and passion in cardiac rehabilitation. She was involved in implementing dedicated cardiac rehab programs across various units (heart centres and multispecialty hospitals) at Narayana Health in Karnataka. She has received the European Commission Scholarship (Erasmus Mundus) at Ghent University Hospital, Belgium, in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation. She is a visiting scientist at UHN, Cardiac Rehabilitation Centre, Toronto.
