  • This basic certification in pulmonary rehabilitation course offers a blend of theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practices to chronic respiratory disease management. The goal of this course is to provide healthcare professionals with the skills and knowledge to design, implement, and manage evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation programs and deliver high-quality patient care.
  • While the course equips participants with the foundational cognitive knowledge required to deliver pulmonary rehabilitation services, practical skills development is expected to occur through independent practice in clinical or home settings.

Course Objectives

After the successful completion of the 6 modules, the participant will be able to:

  • Develop competency in both theoretical knowledge and practical application of pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Identify current practices, core components, goals, and benefits of pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions using individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Interpret and apply various assessment tools and techniques for pulmonary patients.
  • Understand the impact of medications on exercise and rehabilitation.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in exercise testing methods and apply physiological principles to exercise prescription.
  • Design and implement, evidence-based pulmonary rehabilitation programs.
  • Recognize and integrate non-exercise interventions in pulmonary rehabilitation.
  • Adapt pulmonary rehabilitation models for both low-resource and hospital settings.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices in pulmonary rehabilitation.

Evaluation and Certification

Learner will have to give an online MCQ Quiz to pass & get a certificate. Each lecture will have a MCQ. Without clearing this MCQ the learner can not proceed to the next leacture. Likewise there will also be a course level MCQ in addition to the lecture level MCQ. Passing Percentage for each MCQ is 80%.
