Our President, Dr. Mariya Jiandani, and Secretary, Dr. Manisha Hinduja, took the stage to share SOCVPR’s mission, vision, and remarkable achievements, highlighting our commitment to cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Pune members of Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation hosted an insightful program titled “Lymphedema Unveiled – From Fundamentals to Advanced Management” on the 29th and 30th of August, 2024. This event was part of a webinar series and featured presentations by Dr. Anuradha Daptardar, Head of the Department of Physiotherapy at Tata Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Deepti Kurapati, a Certified Lymphedema Therapist from Michigan, USA.

The webinars provided enriching content, focusing on various aspects of lymphedema, including applied anatomy, lymph dynamics, and advanced techniques for evaluation and management. The sessions also discussed best practices for lymphedema management and documentation standards, which are crucial for ensuring quality care for patients suffering from this condition.
The webinars were very well received by the registered attendees and enhanced the understanding of lymphatic system working in humans and role of Physiotherapy intervention.
